We are proud to share that the EDUWEAR project has been featured in Engineering Today, the official magazine of Malta’s Chamber of Engineers (COE). The article highlights EDUWEAR’s mission to advance engineering education through interdisciplinary, practice-based learning focused on wearable rehabilitation technologies.
The article explores the motivation behind EDUWEAR, its European partnership, and the evidence-based approach used to design a future-ready training curriculum. Drawing on focus groups and surveys, the article discusses how EDUWEAR addresses critical competency gaps in areas such as human-centred design, interdisciplinary collaboration, digital fabrication, and real-world problem solving.
Special emphasis is placed on the project’s blended learning model, combining online learning with immersive, in-person laboratory experiences, and on the importance of collaboration between engineering, healthcare, and design disciplines when developing rehabilitation technologies.
